The Writers’ Block consists of sixteen ladies of various ages, held together by bonds of mutual faith, interests and friendship. Since July, 2006, we’ve met on a monthly basis to read aloud and discuss the writings of the members, review books, and consume massive amounts of tea and chocolate. Our vision for this blog is to serve others by providing detailed book reviews written from a Christian perspective, covering a number of genres, and increasing our collection over time. We hope that Christians seeking the recommendations of like-minded readers will check back often for updates and keep us in prayer as we seek to glorify the Lord in everything that we do.
How we review
Our book reviews consist of a four-part structure: plot summary, writing evaluation, moral evaluation, and the reviewer’s personal impression of the book.
Reviewers operate under pen names.
